Bella Adamova turns into music a powerful war story
27. 1. 2023
Bella Adamova participates in a unique international music project. We are publishing part of it today 27th January, when we remember 6 million victims of the Holocaust. On this day 78 years ago, the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated. There, on July 11, 1944, Vilma Grunwald wrote a farewell note in Czech to her husband and older son as she decided to accompany her younger son, who had not been chosen for work or re-education, on his final journey... The letter is probably the only one of its kind that has been preserved.
The composer and pianist Marion von Tilzer set it to music.
